Developmental Projects
We completed three developmental projects to become familiar with the developmentally appropriate practice necessary to lead schools at each grade level. I worked in a group of three for each project.
For our elementary developmental project we focused on the growth and development of PreK-5. We identified important vocabulary, developmental research, and action research. Our work surrounded Nash-Rocky Mount Schools, so one of our goals was for our website to act as resource for parents and stakeholders in that community.

For our middle school developmental project, we decided to learn what matters most to middle schoolers and how we can better understand them through focus groups and interviews with students, parents and teachers in Nash-Rocky Mount Schools and Vance County schools.

Our high school developmental project connected the physical, social-emotional, language, and cognitive development of high school aged students to the stories of two of our students. Though very different, we found the two students had a great deal in common.
